Combination sharpener in diamond and ceramic that can handle all types of sharpening. The DC3 and DC4 blades (the difference is the size of the blade) consist of a fine diamond sharpener(25 micron) and a very special ceramic sharpener, consisting of synthetic sapphires.
The advantage of these materials is that, although they slowly wear down, they do not lose their shape but remain flat. This is a big advantage when sharpening a knife! And since diamond/ceramic are the hardest materials we know, these burrs are capable of sharpening all types of steel, even powder steel.
You also don't need to use water or oil and if you feel like cleaning the sharpener, a little warm water and washing-up liquid go a long way. The sharpener may initially feel a little raw, but become smoother/better after a period of use. Comes with a nice leather case.
The golden side is used for rough sanding and the gray surface to get a razor-sharp edge.

We at Röda The star likes the DC3 because it is small enough to carry in the field, but not so small that sharpening a normal forestry knife becomes cumbersome. Being able to quickly and continuously sharpen your knife is both practical and meditative.
