Caliber 5.5 mm is also the smallest permitted caliber for pest control hunting (where legal and with correct power/license).

Things to consider regarding power and upgrades

This version is manufactured to deliver the maximum license-free muzzle velocity in Sweden for caliber 5.5 mm, which means about 138 m/s. The rifle can be upgraded with a so-called high-power spring, but it then becomes license-required. You can also upgrade this air rifle with Hatsan’s Vortex gas piston, available in both license-free 10J version and high-power versions. When upgrading to a high-power version, the rifle becomes license-required.
