AGM StG 44 Sturmgewehr is an electric airsoft rifle with extensive metal construction, oxidized finish and a real wood stock. The model recreates the German Sturmgewehr 44 (MP44) from World War II with its characteristic design, curved magazine, and details inspired by the original’s stamped steel construction.
Weighing about 4.3 kg, with metal parts made of steel and aluminum and a wooden stock, the rifle has a realistic weight and feel. It is especially suitable for historical airsoft games and WW2 loadouts, but also for those who want a different airsoft rifle with a classic appearance.
The StG 44 was developed during World War II and was one of the first successful automatic rifles with an intermediate caliber cartridge. The weapon was previously called MP43 and MP44 before it got the name Sturmgewehr 44 in 1944. The design had a significant influence on later assault rifles.

Oxidized metal finish and real wood stock

The rifle’s metal parts have a dark, oxidized surface treatment which, together with the real wood stock, gives it a period-correct look. The construction combines steel and aluminum, including handguard and gas tube in steel.
The receiver features reinforcements and longitudinal pressings that mimic the original’s stamped construction. The narrow, perforated handguard, the robust pistol grip, and the curved magazine contribute to the StG 44’s iconic profile.
The rifle has open iron sights with a protected front sight and a fully adjustable tangent rear sight where height is adjusted with a sliding control. Sling attachment points are located both at the front and rear.
Below the muzzle is a 14 mm CCW thread for mounting compatible accessories. The rifle lacks rails and thus retains its historical appearance.

Fire modes and adjustable hop-up

The AGM StG 44 features safe, semi-automatic and fully automatic firing modes. The fire selector is located on the left side of the gun and works as a slider rather than the rotating selector of the original.
The adjustable M4-type hop-up is located behind the ejection port cover on the right-hand side of the receiver. By opening the cover, you access the adjustment and can tune the BB’s backspin according to BB weight and desired trajectory.

Version 2 gearbox with reinforced parts

Inside, there is a Version 2 gearbox with steel gears mounted in 8 mm steel bushings. The gearbox also features a chromed cylinder, piston head, and metal spring guide.
The design is based on the standard V2 platform used in many M4-based airsoft rifles. This provides good access to spare parts and upgrade options, despite the rifle’s unusual external construction.
The adjustable hop-up also uses an M4-based design compatible with standard AEG hop-up buckings and inner barrels.

Battery in wood stock and 190-round magazine

The battery is placed inside the fixed wood stock. To access the battery compartment, remove the locking pin at the stock’s attachment and detach the stock from the gun body.
The connector is Mini Tamiya and we recommend a 7.4 V LiPo stick-type battery of a size that fits in the stock's battery compartment.
The rifle comes with a 190-round mid-cap magazine in steel. The magazine is spring-fed and does not need to be wound during use. The curved shape replicates the original magazine for 7.92 × 33 mm Kurz ammunition.
