CYMA CM.048 Gen 2 is a full-size AK74 airsoft rifle with a steel receiver and laminated wood stock and handguard. The classic AK74 muzzle brake, open iron sights, and the weight of approximately 3.29 kg give the model a much more authentic feel compared to simpler AK variants with polymer receivers.
The Gen 2 version has been upgraded with a CYMA V3 MOSFET, short type hi-torque neodymium motor, 8 mm bearings, and a quick change spring. The rifle also comes with two hi-cap magazines, each holding 500 airsoft BBs.

Steel receiver and laminated real wood

The receiver, top cover, gas tube, and several other external parts are made of steel. The outer barrel, sights, front sight block, handguard mounts, and side mount are made of metal. The pistol grip is made of nylon. The stock and handguard are made of laminated real wood with a dark stained finish. The color and wood grain may vary slightly between individual units.

Side mount for AK optics

On the left side of the receiver is a dovetail side mount for AK-compatible optics. With a suitable side mount, the rifle can be fitted with a Picatinny rail, red dot sight, scope, or AK optics like the PSO type.
The traditional open sights consist of a protected front post and an elevation-adjustable rear sight. The rifle also features front and rear sling mounts for a two-point sling.

AK74 muzzle brake and 14 mm CCW thread

The rifle comes equipped with the characteristic AK74 muzzle brake. Beneath the adapter is a 14 mm CCW thread for mounting a compatible suppressor, tracer unit, flash hider, or other muzzle device.
The adapter is locked and can be tight. Always check the locking screw and pin before disassembly.

Gen 2 with CYMA V3 MOSFET

CYMA V3 MOSFET improves trigger response and reduces wear on mechanical contact surfaces. The system works together with a short type hi-torque motor with neodymium magnets, providing faster response and efficient gearbox operation.
The rate of fire can reach up to about 20 BB per second depending on the battery. The rifle features a T-connector (DEAN) and is compatible with both 7.4 V and 11.1 V LiPo batteries.
We recommend a 7.4 V LiPo battery as it offers good trigger response and rate of fire with less load and wear on gearbox components.

V3 gearbox with quick change spring

The V3 gearbox features 8 mm bearings, piston with metal teeth rack, and a quick change spring system. The quick change spring allows the spring to be swapped without opening the gearbox shell.
Internally it also includes a type 0 cylinder, polymer piston head, and a metal ball bearing spring guide. The design is based on the standard AK V3 system, giving access to a wide range of compatible maintenance and upgrade parts.

Metal hop-up and 500 mm inner barrel

The adjustable slider hop-up unit is made of metal and sits in the ejection port. Adjustments are made by pulling back the charging handle.
The inner barrel is made of brass, measures 500 mm in length and has a diameter of 6.04 mm. The rifle outputs about 1.41 joules and 119 m/s (390 fps) with a 0.20 g BB. For this power level, 0.23–0.25 g BB is a suitable choice.

Fixed wood stock with battery compartment

The battery is placed in the fixed wood stock, offering considerably more space than under the top cover or in a folding AK stock. The buttplate is removed to access the battery and T-connector.
Battery and charger are not included.

Two hi-cap magazines included

The package includes two high-cap polymer magazines, each holding 500 airsoft BBs. Magazines are filled through the hatch on top, and the feeding mechanism is wound using the wheel underneath.
Magazines are inserted with the typical AK rock-and-lock motion: the front edge hooks in first and the magazine is then tilted back until the magazine catch locks.
