CYMA CM.518 Gen 2 is a DMR-inspired M4 airsoft rifle with a long M-LOK handguard, extra-long Picatinny rail, and a specially designed muzzle brake. The long front provides plenty of space for a scope, red dot sight, magnifier, bipod, and other accessories.
This model weighs only about 1.84 kg despite its full-size design. Internally, there is a 385 mm inner barrel, rotary hop-up, and a V2 gearbox with quick change spring. The Gen 2 version is also equipped with CYMA V2 MOSFET and T-plug (DEAN).

DMR-inspired design with long Picatinny rail

The upper Picatinny rail runs from the handguard over the receiver and has a total length of about 21 inches. This provides plenty of mounting space for a longer scope or a combination of red dot sight and magnifier.
The CM.518 is delivered as a standard AEG with both semi-automatic and fully automatic operation, but the long front, 385 mm inner barrel, and the ability to mount a scope and bipod make it a great foundation for an M4-based build with a DMR focus.

M-LOK and short Picatinny rails

The handguard features M-LOK slots on the sides and underside. This allows you to mount M-LOK compatible accessories directly or add rails where they are actually needed.
At the very front, there are short Picatinny rails for, for example, a flashlight, laser, or vertical grip. The foldable flip-up sights can be used as regular sights or removed when other optics are installed.

Rail-integrated and removable muzzle brake

The specially designed muzzle brake is integrated with the front part of the handguard and gives the CM.518 its characteristic appearance. The design continues the lines of the handguard all the way to the muzzle.
The muzzle brake can be removed by loosening the two front screws. Underneath, there is a 14 mm CCW-threaded outer barrel for mounting a compatible suppressor, tracer, or other muzzle device.

Low weight and adjustable crane stock

The receiver, handguard, pistol grip, buffer tube, and stock are mainly made of polymer. The outer barrel, gearbox, and several internal parts are metal. The construction keeps the weight down to about 1835 grams.
The adjustable crane stock features a rubberized butt pad and can be adapted to the shooter's arm length and other gear. The battery is placed in the stock or buffer tube depending on the battery’s design.

Gen 2 with CYMA V2 MOSFET

The Gen 2 version is equipped with the CYMA V2 MOSFET, which improves trigger response and reduces wear on mechanical contact points. The battery connection is a T-plug (DEAN).
The electronics are compatible with both 7.4 V and 11.1 V LiPo, but we recommend a 7.4 V LiPo battery. This provides good trigger response and rate of fire while keeping stress and wear on gearbox parts low.

V2 gearbox with quick change spring

The V2 gearbox features steel gears, 8 mm steel bushings, and a quick change spring system. It is also equipped with a type 2 cylinder, sealed 20.96 mm nozzle, polymer piston with a steel tooth, and a metal spring guide with stabilizing washer.
The quick change spring system makes it easier to change springs when the muzzle velocity needs to be adjusted. The gearbox is based on standard V2, which means there is a wide range of compatible replacement parts and upgrades.

Rotary hop-up and 385 mm inner barrel

The adjustable rotary hop-up unit is located in the ejection port and is accessed by pulling back the charging handle. The inner barrel is made of brass, measures 385 mm, and has a diameter of 6.04 mm.
The rifle delivers about 1.41 joules and 119 m/s (390 fps) with a 0.20 g BB. For this power level, 0.25–0.28 g BB is a suitable choice. The rate of fire can be up to about 19 BB per second depending on the battery.

Two hi-cap magazines included

The CM.518 comes with two hi-cap magazines for 300 BB each. The magazines are filled through a hatch on top and the feeding mechanism is wound with the wheel underneath. The rifle uses standard M4/AR15 magazines for AEG.
