CYMA CM.520 Gen 2 combines the classic AK47 design with a modern RIS handguard for red dot sights and other accessories. Unlike a traditional AK, where optics often require a separate side mount, a red dot sight can be mounted directly onto the upper Picatinny rail of the handguard.
The fixed stock accommodates a relatively large battery, and the contoured pistol grip offers a more comfortable hold than the slim traditional AK grip. The Gen 2 version also features CYMA V3 MOSFET, T-connector (DEAN), quick change spring system, and two hi-cap magazines.

Picatinny Rails for Red Dot Sights and Accessories

The ventilated RIS handguard has full-length rails on the top and bottom, as well as two shorter side rails. The top rail can be used for a red dot sight, while the bottom rail fits, for example, a vertical or angled grip. The sides have space for a flashlight, laser, or other compact equipment.
This makes the CM.520 significantly easier to equip than a classic AK47 without rails, while keeping the traditional open AK iron sights. The rear U-shaped sight can be adjusted without tools.

AK47 Type 3 with Low Weight

The design is based on the early AK47 Type 3 construction, but the wooden parts have been replaced by a black handguard, pistol grip, and fixed stock made of polymer. The receiver is also made of polymer, while the outer barrel and several load-bearing parts are made of metal.
The weight is about 2.3 kg, which is low for a full-sized AK airsoft rifle. The rifle also has a moving charging handle, steel-reinforced fire selector, enlarged trigger guard for gloved use, and sling mounts for a two-point sling.

Fixed Stock with Large Battery Space

The battery is placed inside the fixed stock, where there is more space than under the dust cover or in many folding AK stocks. The butt plate is removed to access the battery connector.
The Gen 2 version has a T-connector (DEAN) and the electronics are compatible with both 7.4 V and 11.1 V LiPo batteries. We recommend a 7.4 V LiPo battery, as it gives good trigger response and rate of fire with lower strain and wear on the gearbox components.

Gen 2 with CYMA V3 MOSFET

CYMA V3 MOSFET improves trigger response and relieves mechanical contacts in the electrical system. The V3 gearbox is equipped with 8 mm steel bushings, sealed 19.7 mm nozzle, and quick change spring system.
The construction is based on TM standard, ensuring good compatibility with spare parts and upgrade components. The quick change spring system simplifies spring replacement when the muzzle velocity needs adjusting.

455 mm Inner Barrel and Adjustable Slider Hop-Up

CM.520 features a 455 mm inner barrel with 6.05 mm diameter. The adjustable slider hop-up unit sits behind the moving ejection port cover and is accessed by pulling back the charging handle.
The rifle delivers about 1.45 joules and up to 122 m/s (400 fps) with 0.20 g airsoft BBs. For this power level, 0.25–0.30 g airsoft BBs are a suitable choice.
The outer barrel features a 14 mm CCW thread for mounting a compatible suppressor, tracer, or other muzzle device.

Two Hi-Cap Magazines Included

The package includes two hi-cap magazines for about 525 BBs each. The magazines are filled through the top hatch and the feeding mechanism is wound with either the wheel on the bottom or the included winding key.
Magazines are fitted using the AK system’s usual rock-and-lock motion: hook the front edge first, then swing the magazine back until the mag catch locks.
