CYMA CM.522 Sport Line GEN-2 is an electric airsoft rifle (AEG) with a classic AK47 design, low weight and upgraded electronics. The combination of a polymer body, imitation wood details and metal components provides a traditional appearance without the weight of an airsoft rifle built entirely from metal. This model is particularly well suited for beginners looking for an affordable AK47 airsoft rifle with good internal components from the start.

The updated GEN-2 version features CYMA V3 MOSFET, quick change spring and a version 3 metal gearbox. The rifle has both semi-automatic and fully automatic firing modes and comes with two hi-cap magazines holding 525 BBs each.

Classic AK47 with lighter construction

CM.522 is based on the classic AK-47 Type 3 with a fixed stock, open sights and a characteristic handguard. The stock, pistol grip and handguard are made from imitation wood polymer, providing the appearance of wood while requiring less maintenance. The receiver is also made from polymer, while the outer barrel and fire selector, among other parts, feature metal components.

The rifle has an adjustable rear sight, sling mounts at the front and rear, and a classic AK fire selector with safe, semi-automatic and fully automatic firing modes. The magazine release is centrally positioned in front of the trigger guard and can be operated from either side.
The adjustable hop-up is accessed by pulling back the charging handle and opening the ejection port cover. The hop-up adjusts the BB's backspin to provide a flatter trajectory and improved range.

GEN-2 with MOSFET and quick change spring

The major improvement compared to previous CM.522 versions is the upgraded internal components. The rifle uses a version 3 metal gearbox with 8 mm steel bushings and steel gears. The construction follows the Tokyo Marui standard, providing good access to compatible spare parts and upgrades.
The built-in CYMA V3 MOSFET provides faster trigger response and protects the trigger contacts from electrical wear. The rifle also has a quick change spring, simplifying spring replacement during servicing or adjustment of the output power.
The inner barrel is 455 mm long with a diameter of 6.05 mm. Together with the adjustable hop-up and high muzzle velocity, this provides good accuracy.

Battery and magazines

The battery is placed in the fixed stock and connected via a Deans/T-plug. The recommended voltage is 7.4 V LiPo. The battery compartment accommodates up to large type.
The two included hi-cap magazines hold 525 BBs each and are wound by turning the feeding wheel on the underside of the magazine. The rifle is also compatible with many common AK47/AK74 AEG magazines.
Note: Battery and charger are not included.
