CYMA CM.048M Gen 2 is a full-size AKM airsoft rifle with a steel receiver, laminated wood handguard and stock, and an upgraded V3 gearbox. The weight of 3.2 kg and the extensive use of steel give it a completely different feel compared to simpler AK models with polymer receivers and wood parts.
The Gen 2 version features a CYMA V3 MOSFET, quick change spring system, 8 mm bearings, and a hi-torque motor with neodymium magnets. The rifle comes with two high-capacity steel magazines holding 500 airsoft BBs each.

AKM Construction with Steel and Real Wood

The receiver, top cover, gas tube, and angled AKM muzzle brake are made of steel. The outer barrel, sights, front sight base, side mount, and handguard mounting hardware are made of metal. Only the pistol grip is made of nylon.
The fixed stock and handguard are made of laminated real wood. Since wood is a natural material, color tone and grain may vary between individual units.

Side Mount for AK Optics

On the left side of the receiver is a dovetail side mount for AK-compatible optic mounts. With a suitable side mount, the rifle can be equipped with a Picatinny rail, red dot sight, or scope without needing to modify the classic AKM front end.
The rifle also features traditional open AK iron sights with an adjustable rear sight leaf. Attachment points at the front and rear allow for the installation of a two-point sling.

Gen 2 with CYMA V3 MOSFET

The CYMA V3 MOSFET improves trigger response and reduces wear on mechanical contact surfaces. Together with the short hi-torque motor with neodymium magnets, the system delivers faster response and a rate of fire of up to approximately 20 airsoft BBs per second, depending on the battery.
The rifle is compatible with both 7.4 V and 11.1 V LiPo, but we recommend a 7.4 V LiPo battery. This provides good response and rate of fire while keeping wear and tear on gearbox parts to a minimum.

V3 Gearbox with Quick Change Spring

The V3 gearbox features 8 mm bearings, a piston with metal tooth rack, and a quick change spring system. The quick change spring system allows you to change the spring without splitting the gearbox shell.
The compression system consists of a type 0 cylinder, 19.60 mm polymer nozzle, and metal spring guide with bearing. The construction is based on the standard AK V3, ensuring good availability of compatible service and upgrade parts.

Metal Hop-Up and 500 mm Inner Barrel

The adjustable slider hop-up unit is made of metal and is located in the ejection port. Adjustment is accessed by pulling the charging handle to the rear.
The 500 mm long inner barrel made of brass has a diameter of 6.04 mm. The rifle delivers around 1.41 joules and 119 m/s (390 fps) with 0.20 g BB. For this power level, 0.25–0.28 g BB is recommended.

Fixed Stock with Large Battery Compartment

The battery is placed in the fixed wooden stock, providing significantly more space than under the top cover or in a folding AK stock. The buttplate is removed to access the battery and T-connector (DEAN).
Battery and charger are not included.

Two Steel Magazines Included

The package includes two high-capacity steel magazines with a capacity of approximately 500 airsoft BBs each. The magazines are filled via the hatch on top and the feeding mechanism is wound using the wheel on the bottom.
Magazines are inserted using the AK system's traditional rock-and-lock movement: the front edge is hooked into the receiver first, then the magazine is tilted backward until the magazine catch locks.
