Nitecore NEW i4 is an intelligent battery charger with four individually controlled charging slots for rechargeable batteries. It supports several different battery types, including standard AA and AAA batteries as well as lithium-ion batteries such as 16340, 18650, 21700 and 26650. A good choice for those who use rechargeable batteries in flashlights, headlamps and other electronic equipment.
The charger automatically identifies the battery type and adjusts charging according to the battery's size and capacity. You can charge up to four batteries simultaneously, even if they have different sizes or capacities. LED indicators for each charging slot show the charging progress and when the batteries are fully charged.

Fast and intelligent charging

NEW i4 has a maximum charging current of 1500 mA when charging a larger lithium-ion battery. When charging multiple batteries, the current is automatically distributed between the charging slots using Nitecore's Active Current Distribution (ACD). The system adjusts how the available power is used to provide efficient charging.
The charger uses different charging methods depending on the battery type and charge level. For larger lithium-ion batteries, the charging current can also be adjusted manually. The charging voltage can be set for battery types that require specific settings.

Automatic safety features

Nitecore NEW i4 has several built-in features for safe charging:

• Automatic charging stop when the battery is fully charged.
• Protection against reverse polarity and short circuits.
• A timer that stops charging after a maximum of 20 hours.
• Function for attempting to reactivate certain deeply discharged IMR batteries.
• Heat-resistant construction in flame-retardant polycarbonate.

The charger connects to a standard wall outlet with 100–240 V mains voltage. It can also be powered by 9–12 V DC via a compatible external power source.

Compatible batteries

NEW i4 supports several rechargeable battery chemistries, including Li-ion, IMR, LiFePO4, NiMH and NiCd.

• Common lithium-ion formats: 16340 (RCR123A), 14500, 18350, 18500, 18650, 21700, 26650 and more.
• NiMH and NiCd: AA, AAA, AAAA, C and D.
• Other battery types: LiFePO4 and specific lithium-ion batteries with 4.35 V charging voltage, with the correct manual voltage setting.

Please note that 21700 batteries are listed as compatible in flat-top versions. When charging LiFePO4 batteries, the correct charging voltage must be set manually. The charger is intended for rechargeable batteries only and must not be used with standard disposable batteries such as CR123A.
