Maple Leaf Omega OHM is a firmer, curved silicone hop-up nub for AEG. The contoured contact surface distributes pressure more evenly across the hop-up rubber and provides a larger contact area against the BB. This can contribute to more consistent backspin, a more stable BB trajectory, and improved accuracy.

For high-powered airsoft guns

The 80° hardness is primarily intended for airsoft guns with a high muzzle velocity, around 120–150 m/s. This corresponds to approximately 1.4–2.25 J when the muzzle velocity is compared using a 0.20 g airsoft BB. The 0.20 g BB specification is only a standardized reference value and does not mean that this BB weight must be used. The nub can of course be used with heavier BBs, which is often suitable in high-powered airsoft guns. The measured muzzle velocity will then be lower because the BB weighs more. Which hardness works best is also affected by hop-up rubber, inner barrel, BB weight, the design of the hop-up unit, and weather conditions. The velocity range should therefore be considered as a guideline and not an exact limit.

Curved contact surface for more even pressure

The slightly concave shape follows the curvature of the BB and helps the hop-up rubber apply even pressure across the BB. The firmer construction deforms less under load and is suitable for upgraded setups where a harder and more controlled pressure on the hop-up rubber is needed.
