Made entirely of metal. You mount this on the gun's outer barrel which has an internal thread, it converts the thread to regular 14mm CCW, that is so you can have more or less any silencer fitted.
It works with blowback too.

Fits the vast majority of manufacturers of pistols that have a threaded outer barrel (female), e.g. WE
The thread that goes into the gun is 11mm CW.
Keep in mind that some guns have a "plug" that protects the threads so sometimes the thread is not visible, instead it is a large hex plug that blocks. If you unscrew it, there may be a thread underneath and then you can use this.

On the picture of the gun it looks like the gun is bent, it is due to incorrect camera settings and not the hardware, the adapter has an excellent fit and keeps the silencer straight without bends.
