The Direct Action® Dragon Egg is a high-tech 25 liter backpack intended for EDC (every-day-carry) or shorter missions. The backpack holds a laptop (max approx. 35x24cm) + hydration bladder or two bladders. The main compartment has a pouch for a hydration bladder, a special compartment behind the back plate has room for a hydration bladder or laptop. The laptop pouch is protected by padding and that it rests against the rigid back panel, perfect for various types of sensitive equipment in addition to the laptop: radio, documents, etc.
Note that the detailed images show the bag in a different color, this is their two-tone Urban Gray / Shadow Gray .

The front pouch of the Dragon Egg contains pouches, mesh pouches, pencil case, radio holder and hook for small items.

A small outer pouch with soft fleece inside, designed for phone or other small items .

The backpack has two smaller bellows-type side pouches. When opened, they hold, for example, PET or Nalgene-type bottles. When folded, they function as a holder for equipment, such as an axe. Two compression straps on the side of the pack keep the pack slim and can be used to secure equipment.

The outside of the pack features durable laser cut Cordura that is fully MOLLE/PALS compatible, but with a slimmer profile.

The egg shape of the backpack means that the backpack has a lower width/height than more square backpacks with the same volume. It also makes the backpack more versatile to carry together with a plate carrier or combat belt as it does not get in the way as easily.

The backpack's carrying system is surprisingly sturdy and comfortable. Generous padding of molded foam and mesh on shoulder straps and back panel. Combat Vent System® is a construction method that really transports moisture and excess heat away from the back. The back panel is reinforced with Polymer, which increases stability, facilitates ventilation in the channels and ensures that the contents of the backpack do not rub. Detachable 40mm waist strap and chest strap.

The outer fabric is 500D Cordura with water-repellent treatment. The laser-cut panels are reinforced and have extra layers of fabric behind them, so water doesn't get in.

Strong zippers from YKK with shrink tube reinforcement/stabilization.
Carrying handle in braided paracord, can be braided up in an emergency and man then has rope cord.
Top side and shoulder straps are equipped with D-rings.
Bottom side has additional packing straps.
