Carinthia MIG 5.0 is a windproof, highly water-repellent, and warm jacket developed for active use in cold weather. The combination of durable outer fabric and moisture-resistant G-LOFT® insulation makes the jacket suitable for outdoor activities, hunting, shooting, and professional use.

MIG stands for Medium Insulation Garment and is positioned between Carinthia's lighter and heavier insulation jackets. According to Carinthia, the jacket is optimized for high activity down to around -15°C. The suitable temperature range is naturally affected by your level of activity, weather conditions, other clothing layers, and individual resistance to cold.

G-LOFT® keeps you warm even in damp weather

The jacket is insulated with 125 g/m² G-LOFT® over the torso and 80 g/m² in the sleeves. The synthetic insulation retains a large portion of its insulating capability even when damp and combines effective insulation with a relatively flexible format.

The windproof and highly water-repellent CARINTHIA® SOF 2L outer fabric offers excellent protection against cold wind, light rain, and snow. However, the jacket is not intended to replace a fully waterproof shell during prolonged rain.

Side Access provides quick access to your belt

The MIG 5.0 features Carinthia's Side Access System with long zippers running from the hem up to just below the armpits. These can be opened to allow fast access to holsters, magazines, tools, and other gear carried on your belt without having to open the jacket's main front zipper.

The new two-way YKK front zipper has an internal wind flap and chin guard. The two-way function provides better freedom of movement when sitting, driving, or carrying equipment.

Thoughtful storage and adjustable fit

Inside, there are large mesh pockets suitable for gloves and other equipment. A separate Napoleon pocket with zipper provides secure storage for smaller items you need to access easily.

The hem can be adjusted with an internal drawcord that is accessed from the side pockets. The sleeve cuffs have also been redesigned for improved function.
