Product description

Helikon-Tex Yukon is a warmly insulated winter jacket for outdoor activities, bushcraft, and working outdoors during the colder part of the year. The jacket combines a durable outer fabric in DuraCanvas® with Climashield® Apex™ insulation at 67 g/m², which retains its insulating ability even when damp.
The outer fabric resists wear, tears, and contact with sparks better than many common synthetic materials. DuraCanvas® can also be waxed for increased resistance to rain, snow, and dirt.

Adjustable Hood and Effective Ventilation

The deep, lined hood has a brim and three-point adjustment to fit head and weather conditions. A high collar, adjustable hem and cuffs with Velcro help keep out cold air.
At higher activity levels, excess heat can be released through zippered and mesh-lined ventilation openings under the arms. This makes the jacket useful both for calmer activities and for more physically demanding work.
We have used the jacket ourselves and find that it is well suited for around +5 °C and below. It is especially ideal when autumn turns cold, as well as during winter and early spring. In autumn and spring, a t-shirt under is enough, and in winter you can wear a sweater underneath (or just a t-shirt if you will be active).

Eight Easily Accessible Pockets

The jacket has a total of eight pockets that can be used even with thicker gloves. The two chest pockets have internal compartments for smaller gear, while the two lined hip pockets also work as hand warmers. There is an additional pocket on one upper arm.
Inside, there are two open mesh pockets that can be used, for example, to store and dry damp gloves, as well as a zippered chest pocket for wallet, documents, or phone.

Attachment Points for Smaller Equipment

On the lower sides of the jacket, there are MOLLE/PALS straps for attaching smaller pouches, carabiners, and other equipment. Below the front pockets, there are also paracord loops. On the left upper arm, there is a Velcro area for patches.
