Tropical helmet inspired by the models worn by the German Afrika Korps (Deutsches Afrikakorps, DAK) during World War II's North African campaign. This reproduction from Mil-Tec is made with a light, natural frame and fabric cover in typical DAK style. The included goggles (not classified as protective equipment but only for decoration) and eagle emblem on the side enhance the historical impression. Original helmets were designed to protect against sun and heat in desert climates and were often worn by both officers and personnel during parades and leisure. This reproduction is designed for reenactment, film, and collectors. The frame is made of plant fiber from Vietnamese elder (plant pulp), providing low weight and an authentic feel.
