The 7 mm thick blade is made of Q235 carbon steel with traditional curvature, straight blood groove (bo-hi), and full length of 69 cm. The handle is wrapped in black cord in classic style, with white underwrap and matching black sageo. The lacquered wooden saya is multi-layered with golden diagonal brushstrokes.
