BUSHMEN FRONTIER is a insulated outdoor blanket that can also be used as a poncho, sleeping bag cover, bedroll, and underquilt for a hammock. The combination of a tightly woven outer fabric and a soft fleece lining provides protection against cold, wind, light moisture, and sparks, while the material remains breathable.
With dimensions of 220 x 140 cm, there is plenty of room to wrap the blanket around your body or use it as an extra warming layer when sleeping outdoors. Buttons, a zipper, and elastic cords make it possible to adapt the FRONTIER to different uses.

Tightly woven polycotton and warming fleece

The outer fabric consists of 220 g/m² tightly woven polycotton, a blend that combines the feel and spark resistance of cotton with the durability of synthetics. The fabric has a water column of 500 mm and protects against light rain and ground moisture. When cotton fibers get damp, they swell and make the weave denser.
The inside is lined with soft teddy fleece at 200 g/m², providing warmth and a pleasant surface against the body. Bushmen states an approximate thermal comfort down to +15 °C when used as a blanket. This temperature should be seen as a reference, since comfort is also affected by wind, humidity, clothing, and what you are lying on.
The outer fabric is more resistant to minor sparks than many purely synthetic materials, but the blanket is not fireproof and must be kept at a safe distance from open flames.

Blanket, poncho, and extra protection for the sleeping bag

As a poncho, the blanket is draped over the shoulders and fastened at the neck. The fleece-lined hood provides additional protection against wind and light rain, while a spacious inner pocket keeps items such as a mobile phone and flashlight close at hand.
FRONTIER can also be placed around a sleeping bag as an extra insulating and protective layer. When used as a bedroll, a sleeping mat can be placed between the layers. The zipper also allows for adding extra insulation.

Can be used as an underquilt for a hammock

The elastic cords with buttons allow the blanket to be mounted under a hammock as an underquilt. It then insulates the underside and reduces heat loss that otherwise occurs when the sleeping bag is compressed against the hammock. The cords can also be used to shape a warming footbox.
The included carry bag has carry handles, a shoulder strap, and an outer pocket, making it easy to carry and store between uses.
