US M-1926 Cutlery Set Repro

Well made replica from Mil-Tec of the cutlery used by the US during World War II and the Vietnam War. Spoon, knife and fork.

The hole in the handle was so that you could hang the cutlery in boiling water when cleaning.

This model was called M-1926 and replaced the earlier M-1910, but since there was so much cutlery left in the stores since the First World War, they only began to be manufactured in 1941. Already in September, they changed their mind, the handle for the knife was to be manufactured in black resin plastic. However, it was difficult and only one company succeeded, the rest continued to manufacture them entirely in metal.
Only in 1962 was the first major change made when the knife began to be manufactured in pressed sheet metal.
