Product description
Classic Soviet pop-up tent, called platsch-palatka. The design is unchanged since World War II. Brass eyelets and classic buttons in some type of synthetic material. Perfect to use as a raincoat, blanket, tent and more. Forest green color, a bit difficult to photograph in the close-ups.
The tarp has drawstrings along one corner so it can be worn as a slide with a hood. You tighten both over the shoulders and then around the hood.
Can be used as a tarp, snap-on tent and more. For example, it can be attached to a tree as the classic "lone wolf". The tarp has buttons and buttonholes along the side so that several parts can be buttoned together.
Made in the Romanian Socialist Republic, good condition! Have been in storage for a few decades so they can smell "surplus", if you are sensitive it might be worth airing them. There may also be some stains, etc. from the storage period, but overall they are really nice, probably the best batch of these we received. The Romanian one has TWO holes for the arms (older soviet skimped and only had one hole for the arm). In addition, there is a small pocket under the opening.
Dimensions: approx. 175 x 175cm
