The Bushmen HOT Tarp™ 4x4 in technical cotton is the largest model in the HOT series. With an area of over 17 m², 28 attachment points, and an integrated stove port, this tarp is for those who want to create a truly spacious and robust shelter for off-road trips, glamping, or bushcraft. It combines a classic appearance with modern functionality, providing both comfort and protection year-round.

Technical Cotton – Natural Protection Against Sparks and Condensation

The tarp is made of durable polycotton (220 g/m²), a material that combines the advantages of cotton with the durability of synthetics. DWR treatment makes the fabric waterproof, and when the fibers become wet, they swell and seal further against rain. Polycotton breathes better than synthetic materials, reducing condensation inside the shelter. It is also more resistant to sparks than nylon and polyester – a clear advantage when used near a fire or stove.

Note: The material is spark-resistant but not fireproof – avoid direct contact with hot surfaces.

Stove Port for Wood-Burning Stove

The integrated port is made of heat-resistant material that withstands up to 800 °C. Star-shaped opening keeps the flue pipe stable and reduces water intrusion, and a protective cover covers the opening when the port is not in use.

Note: The stove port may deform slightly at very high temperatures. This is normal and does not affect safety or function.
