MD-097 Cronstad is a slightly more expensive crank radio that also works well for outdoor activities. But a larger power bank of 4000 mAh and a solar cell of 1W can deliver more power than our smaller models.

Built in the radio is a Li-ion power bank used to power electronics and provide power to the USB socket. In addition to a built-in Power Bank, the radio also has the option of being powered by 3 AAA (not included) batteries, can be good to have as spare-reserve batteries.

The power bank is 4000 mAh (3.7V). This is quite a high capacity, but keep in mind that modern mobile phones consume power and 1000 mAh is enough to charge a modern smartphone to about 30%.

To fully charge the power bank, from discharged, you can do the following;
Charge via solar cell for approx. 35 hours, however, the solar cell is most suitable for maintenance charging.
Charge via crank/dynamo for approx. 7 hours. (in practice not so easy, dynamo is mainly used for maintenance charging or in an emergency).
Charge via Micro-USB for about 2.5 hours.

Should the battery run out, you can crank. If the battery is completely discharged, you may need to crank for 3-5 minutes to activate the battery. After a minute of shaking, you can do the following;
Keep the light on for about 5 minutes.
Listen to the radio for about 5-7 minutes.
