Katadyn Micropur Classic MC 1 000F is an effective agent for long-term conservation of drinking water in containers, tanks, and piping systems. The product is used to prevent the growth of bacteria and the development of foul odors when water is stored for extended periods – without using chlorine.

Micropur Classic is based on the bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties of silver ions. Unlike chlorine, whose effect diminishes after a few hours, silver ions can preserve clear water for up to 6 months. The silver ions adhere to the cell walls of microorganisms and inhibit their growth.

For water stored for long periods

Micropur Classic is used where drinking water stands in systems for extended periods.

In the case of turbid water, the water should first be purified with a microfilter, as suspended particles can impair the effectiveness of the silver ions.

• Action time: Bacteria are deactivated after about 2 hours

Important to know
