Carinthia Tropen is a summer sleeping bag developed for hot and humid climates. It is very light, has a small pack volume, and is particularly appreciated in tropical and summery conditions. The sleeping bag has high vapor permeability that efficiently wicks away moisture during hot nights, while the Shelltrans exterior construction creates an extra insulating layer against cooler evenings and damp nights.

A practical detail is the integrated mosquito net in the hood, which can easily be folded out and fastened with a zipper. The sleeping bag features a two-way zipper that can be opened at the foot end for ventilation during warm nights. The Tropen can also be combined with Carinthia Defence 4 for a complete year-round sleeping bag system—a solution reminiscent of the military's double sleeping bag system.
