Katadyn Micropur Classic MC 1T are classic water purification tablets for outdoors, field use, and long-term storage of drinking water. The tablets are based on the bacteriostatic and bactericidal properties of silver ions and are used to keep water free from bacteria, algae, odor, and microbial growth when the water is stored for a longer period.

Unlike chlorine, whose effect only lasts for a few hours, silver ions can preserve clear water for up to 6 months. The silver ions bind to the cell walls of microorganisms and prevent their growth, making Micropur Classic particularly suitable for water that remains in containers and systems.

For clear water stored over time

Micropur Classic MC 1T is intended for clear water. Cloudy water should always be filtered first, as suspended particles can impair the effect of the silver ions. The product does not purify mechanically but acts as a preservation of already clear water.
