Product description

DD Tarp 3x3 Winter MC is a waterproof tarp with winter camouflage for hammocks, bushcraft, outdoor life, and sleeping on the ground. The 3 × 3 meter format provides good coverage over a standard-sized hammock but is still flexible enough to be used as a standalone camp shelter, rain cover, or ground-level windbreak.
The tarp is made of 190T polyester with a waterproof PU coating and has a hydrostatic head of 3,000 mm. The central seam is taped to prevent water from seeping through during prolonged rain. Despite the generous size, the tarp fabric weighs only 790 grams, making it easy to carry in your pack.

19 attachment points give many setup options

There are a total of 19 reinforced attachment points: 16 along the sides and corners, plus three along the center line of the tarp fabric. This placement gives plenty of options to customize the shelter according to terrain, wind direction, and weather.
The tarp can, for example, be set up as a classic A-frame roof over a hammock, as an open windbreak with a view on one side, or as a more closed shelter close to the ground. The attachment points along the center line also make it easier to create height and more usable space under the tarp.

Winter MC for snow and mixed winter terrain

DD Winter MC is DD Hammocks' own camouflage pattern for winter use and covers the entire tarp. The pattern combines white, grey, and darker sections that break up the clear outline of the tarp against the surroundings.
This allows the tarp to blend in very well both in fully snow-covered terrain and in more varied winter environments where snow mixes with dark tree trunks, shadows, rocks, needles, and visible vegetation. Unlike a solid white cover, Winter MC therefore maintains effective camouflage even when the snow cover is uneven or when the tarp is used in woodland areas.

Waterproof and UV-protective material

The material has UV50+ and provides protection against 98% of UVA and UVB radiation. The tarp can therefore be used as protection not only in winter but also against rain and strong sun during other parts of the year. However, the Winter MC pattern is especially designed for snowy and frosty environments.
The tarp comes with four tent pegs, guy lines, and a stuff sack. The tent pegs and lines are stored in a smaller separate bag, while the tarp fabric is packed in the included drawstring stuff sack.
