DD Tarp 4x4 Winter MC is a large waterproof tarp with winter camouflage, designed for groups, larger campsites, and overnight stays with several hammocks. Its size of 4 × 4 meters provides a full 16 m² of coverage area and plenty of space for people, equipment, and shared activities under shelter. The size makes the tarp suitable for, for example, scout groups, outdoor courses, winter camps, and other occasions where several people need to gather under one roof. It can also be used to create a protected cooking or work area during longer outdoor stays. The tarp is made of 190T polyester with a waterproof PU coating and has a hydrostatic head of 3,000 mm. The central seam is taped to prevent water from seeping through in rain and wet snow.

16 m² of protection for group and equipment

With its 4 × 4 meter area, the DD Tarp 4x4 can cover several hammocks at once or be set up as a spacious freestanding camp shelter. The extra surface area gives better space to keep both people, backpacks, and other equipment dry. The tarp can be set up as a large open roof, a classic A-frame shelter, or a more enclosed construction when better protection from wind and precipitation is needed. It also serves as a common gathering place where the group can cook, work, or organize their equipment under cover.

19 attachment points for various setups

In total, there are 19 reinforced attachment points: 16 along the sides and corners, and three along the centerline of the tarp. Their placement provides great flexibility to adjust height, angle, and openings to suit the terrain, wind direction, and how many people need space. The attachment points along the centerline make it possible to raise the tarp and create more headroom and usable space. The many side attachment points can be used to stretch out the tarp properly or fold down parts of it to give better protection from a particular direction.

Winter MC for snow and Swedish winter forests

DD Winter MC is DD Hammocks’ own camouflage pattern for winter use and covers the entire tarp surface. The combination of light, gray, and darker areas breaks up the large outline of the tarp and allows it to blend well into both completely snow-covered environments and typical Swedish winter forest. In Swedish forests, the ground is often only partially covered with snow, with elements of spruces, dark trunks, shadows, stones, old grass, and visible ground. Winter MC is also well adapted for this type of mixed winter terrain, where all-white camouflage would easily stand out. The pattern therefore works through much of the winter and not only when the landscape is covered by deep, unbroken snow.

Waterproof material with UV50+

The material features UV50+ and provides protection against 98% of UVA and UVB radiation. The tarp can therefore be used as protection from both precipitation and strong sun at different times of the year, even though the Winter MC pattern is primarily designed for winter environments. The tarp comes with four tent pegs, guy lines, and stuff sack. The tent pegs and guy lines are stored in a separate small bag, while the tarp is packed in the included stuff sack with drawstring.
