This unique sleeping bag has been developed specifically for hiking, hunting, expeditions and survival in the wilderness under extreme conditions.

In addition to meeting the requirements for a better warmth-to-weight ratio and compact storage size, the bag has been designed with freedom of movement in mind. By opening the zipper at the bottom, you can get your feet out. The foot end can be tied up so you can wear the sack like a coat. Wilderness also has two parallel side zips with a thermal protector in between. When both zips are closed, the interior space is smaller, but this also means that there is a smaller volume of air that has to be heated by your body heat. This in turn also means extra insulation between the outer and inner layers, which makes the sleeping bag warmer.

This is one of the sleeping bags from Carinthia's Survival Line. Those included in this collection were designed to meet the special demands made by the army and other personnel in extreme situations. Great focus has been placed on the sleeping bags in this collection to provide maximum mobility in extreme conditions.

The sleeping bag has arm sleeves that are stored between the sleeping bag's shell material and the insulation when not in use. These can also be used as pouches for smaller items such as a flashlight etc.

Velcro closure on the outside protective flaps, and zippers inside prevent heat loss. Knitted mittens included for extra warmth. These allow you to cook, write and use your hands and arms in general without having to get out of the sleeping bag. The sleeping bag can even be worn as an outer coat if you have to step out of the tent temporarily. Open the zipper well at the bottom. Fold the sleeping bag up and attach it to the fasteners on the back of the sleeping bag.

All sleeping bags in the Survival family (Wilderness, Survival One and Survival Down) have an adjustable collar that prevents heat loss at the shoulders. The collar also prevents the sleeping bag from sliding down when you wear it like a coat. When the sleeping bag is worn as a coat, it is important that the collar of the sleeping bag is properly tightened so that the weight can be carried up and to prevent the sleeping bag from falling down.
