The Carinthia Defence 4 is the most popular of all Carinthia sleeping bags and is an excellent all-around sleeping bag. Excellent balance between weight, comfort and volume.
Used by, among others, the German and Finnish defense forces. The outer fabric is very strong and has a resistance to rain of 3000 mm.
It has a generously sized protective flap on the inside of the zipper to prevent cold drafts. It also has a protective flap on the outside as extra protection over the zipper to prevent wind or wetness from entering the sleeping bag.
The outer fabric is made of a super light, microfiber material, with a coating that makes it practically waterproof.
Three-season sleeping bag. Can be supplemented with an inner sleeping bag or extrta outer sleeping bag in extreme winter cold, e.g. the Tropen or defense 1.
